The two-member band Cold Soul performed at Fat Daddy�s Saturday night and
immediately livened up a slow crowd.
Without introduction, Ray DeLamar and Jeff Gaither blasted into the small dark
bar. For the first few songs the band kept it loud and fast with covers like
Lou Reed's "Ride Sally Ride" and "TROUBLE" by Travis Tritt, but quickly slowed
it down long enough to show DeLamar's talents on the slide while Gaither sang
songs from Van Morrison and Bob Seger.
The band kept the crowd rowdy with barroom humor and a few scandalous covers
including one from Snoop Dog, but it was the country sound mixed with deep
blues that kept the crowd's attention. Cold Soul has not released an album yet
but plan to be finished with there first sometime this summer.
If you like getting loud and songs about drinking, these guys are for you. The
